Research Overview

Dr. Carey's primary research interest is health promotion. Ongoing projects address sexual health promotion and HIV risk reduction in adolescents, adult men and women, and persons already infected with HIV. Dr. Carey also investigates other health behaviors (e.g., physical activity, alcohol use, healthy eating, and stress management), and coping with chronic illnesses.
